SUMMER STUDY ABROAD PROGRAM

The Office is proud to announce the inaugural U.S. summer study abroad program 2011 this program is designed for undergraduate GIMPA students on the following courses; Hospitality, Entrepreneurship, Procurement, Operations and Project Management. The programs is a three (3) week study/internship program where our undergraduate students will participate in seminars and workshops at partner Universities in the U.S. and there will be trips to other parts of the U.S. such as New York and Washington State and after this period there will be a brief internship period for participants to gain an international work experience.
GIMPA-DANIDA CAPACITY DEVELOPMENT COURSES (May, Sept)

GIMPA in collaboration with the DANIDA Fellowship Centre in May and September will promote training to support capacity building at the regional and national levels. The objective of these courses is to increase effectiveness, efficiency and governance in local government in Ghana. This year we will have three programs the first beginning on the 15th to 27th of May 2011 the two subsequent programs will be held in September. This year’s program will be facilitated by a team of senior GIMPA faculty.
UCLA-GIMPA MDI TRAINING PROGRAMME (Aug-Sep 2011)

The management development institute provides a one week intensive programme designed to enhance the management skills of program managers and leaders of African organizations devoted to the treatment, care and support of people and families living with HIV/AIDS.

With seven sessions since its inception in 2006, over 350 participants from 21 African countries have graduated from this pioneering programme. It is funded Johnson & Johnson in cooperation with African Medical and Research Foundation (AMREF) and GIMPA.
With a world class management faculty from the University of California Los Angeles, GIMPA and excellent instructors from partner African Universities .
