GIMPA: Peace, Progress, Prosperity

The Acting Rector of the Ghana Institute of Management and Public Administration, Professor Philip Ebow Bondzi-Simpson, on April 7, 2017, addressed a staff durbar at the GB auditorium of the main GIMPA campus.

The theme for the durbar was “Addressing challenges and moving forward,”  and he spoke to the catch phrase “Peace, Progress and Prosperity”.

Prof. Bondzi-Simpson stressed the need for members of the GIMPA community to live in peace, develop structures and systems that will lead to the progress of the Institute and eventually prosperity of all stakeholders of the Institute.

He further outlined his work plan and laid out his policy directions, in which he emphasized academic excellence, focus on students, value for money projects and quality assurance.

Touching on the conditions of service, Prof. Bondzi-Simpson stressed the need for a review of the conditions of service for all staff and therefore set up a three-member committee to submit a proposal by May 31, 2017.

Professor Bondzi-Simpson also emphasized the need to raise the standard of all GIMPA satellite campuses in the areas of teaching, research and extension work.

He concluded by urging all staff to help move GIMPA forward by sharing in one vision, working hard, building a team spirit, ensuring academic excellence, and striving to make an impact both internationally and nationally.

He summed it all up with his catch phrase “Peace, Progress and Prosperity.”
