GIMPA Law School [BACHELOR OF LAWS Degree (LL.B)]
COURSE STRUCTURE The LL.B Programme comprises nine (9) core courses and seven (7) elective courses. Seven (7) of the nine (9) core courses are required by the Ghana Legal Council to satisfy the criteria for admission to the Ghana Bar. The other two are Jurisprudence and Long Essay.DURATIONThe GIMPA Law Program is full-time and for a duration of three (3) years, that is, six (6) semesters.LECTURE HOURS4.00 p.m. to 8.00 p.m. on weekdays for four (4) days in a week and from 2.00 p.m. – 6.00 p.m. on Saturdays.START DATE: April 2010 ADMISSION REQUIREMENTSThe entrance requirements shall be a first degree or its equivalent in any discipline, plus two years work experience. All submitted applications must be accompanied by payment receipts. The main goal of the LL.B Programme is to expand legal knowledge and to produce qualified individuals who will work in the public sector generally and especially in the areas of the economy, administration and management. It is also expected that they will work in the area of corporate governance within both the public and private sectors.
