Welcome to the GIMPA Academic Registry.  The Academic Registry deals with Academic and Participants/Students affairs, academic ceremonies and quality assurance.

Quality Assurance is handled by the Quality Assurance, Accreditation and Standards (QASA) Unit with the Academic Registry.

 

MISSION

Our mission is to ensure integrity and excellence in the assessment and certification of all participants and students.

To achieve this, we work in partnership with the Schools, Colleges and Divisions to provide professional and quality service which is proactive, flexible and customer-focused in support of the Institute's Mission and strategic priorities.

VISION

Our vision is to support the Institute issue certificates which are highly acclaimed both by employers and institutions of higher learning.

SERVICES

The Unit is the central focus for academic administration in the Institute.  We are responsible for the management, co-ordination and delivery of academic related services within the student life cycle, and the associated data management.

The Academic Registry provides the following services to both internal and external clients:

Internal:

  1. Administration of examinations
  2. Performance of Academic Ceremonies
  3. Issuance of Certificates
  4. Issuance of Results Slips
  5. Issuance of Transcripts of Academic Records
  6. Attestation Letters
  7. Attestation to proficiency in the English language
  8. Letters of Introduction for travel Visas for students
  9. Letters for foreign students for Resident Permit
  10. Disciplinary actions involving students examination malpractices
  11. Appeals and Complaints from students
  12. Advisory Services with regards to Academic Rules and Regulations

External:

  1. Verification of students’ credentials
  2. Confirmation/verification of academic results and certificates issued
  3. Requests from organizations
  4. General Enquiries

EXAMINATIONS


The Academic Registry administers all examinations conducted in the Institute.

Schools and Divisions we serve include -

  1. The Graduate School of Governance, Leadership and Public Management,
  2. The Graduate School of Business,
  3. The Greenhill College,
  4. The GIMPA Public Service School,
  5. The Consultancy Services Unit,
  6. Business Support and Executive Programmes, and
  7. The Centre for I.T. Professional Development.
