The theme for the programme was “Be Bold for Change: Ensuring Inclusiveness and Equitable Quality Education, and Promoting Lifelong Learning Opportunities for all.”

In her welcome, the chairperson for the programmme, Mrs. Vivian Attah lauded the centre for putting together such an event to mark the day.

Talking on the theme, she indicated that it was apt given the fact that it concerned women and changing their lot, that is equality in every aspect of their lives.

“Where ever we find ourselves as women, we are being told to be bold, out spoken and assertive in order to unleash our potentials.

Mrs. Attah further stated that there was no limit to what a woman can achieve adding that “A woman is a full cycle and within her is the power to create, they help to nurture, make a lot of sacrifices just to keep everyone comfortable. It is just right that we show them some appreciation,”
